Module 6

Recruitment

Duration: 60 min

Build your own organization

During your business planning meeting we’ll design your future organization together with you. Based on your business plan, commitment and desired schedule, we will also help you define monthly goals. As a result you’ll efficiently know what to do when.

Selection is key to quality

The key to a successful organization is the quality of its people. The most important step to secure quality is selection! Select well, to obtain quality and to minimize turn-over., (turn-over lowers quality).

Select for quality, character, integrity. Ask yourself:

  • Do we offer the candidate something that can benefit him/her?

  • Would you enjoy working with the candidate?

  • Would the candidate be a good match with the team?

Recruitment strategy

Together we’ll define a recruitment strategy and plan to build your organization.

A. Select
  1. To build a strong foundation, you would need to search 3 to 5 qualified direct partners. First determine if you would like to work with, Talents and/ or Trainers, and how many of each.

  2. Then you’ll determine how and where to find candidates. There are 3 main sources:

    • Direct warm contacts:

      • make a LIST of everyone you know, literally EVERYONE. Once you have your LIST, indicate who you see as a Trainer and who as a Talent, and if you would like that person in your team? We’ll discuss and do this together with you.

      • Invite the candidates that you select from your list in the specific way shown below.

    • Indirect warm contacts:

      • You might know for example 100 people that you put on your list. The people on your list you might not select to work with, still will know many other people.

      • Those are indirect warm contacts, and they have great potential. How to tap into that indirect network? Share the desired profile with them. Explain that you are building an organization and that you are looking people that have a matching profile. Ask them if they know anyone, who could match the profile and if they could introduce you to them. Or ask them to share the profile with people they know, to see if one of your indirect contacts are interested in an interview.

      • This way you don’t only tap into your direct network of let’s say 100 people. But if they also all know 100 people, you tap into a warm network of 100×100=10,000 people to find and select the right people!

    • Cold contacts:

      • You can approach new people you meet to test their interest.

      • You can post a “job-post” on a suitable platform. For the managerial or Trainer level, LinkedIn can work very well. .

      • But there are many other ways to recruit “cold”. Most companies that are looking for people focus on “cold” recruiting.

B. How to invite a candidate

How simple it seems, this is the hardest and most important skill you need to master.

To understand our business model, the type of income it generates and the product requires “out of the box” thinking. It takes time and concentration to explain it in a way, such that the candidate can grasp the strength and beauty of it. The invite should therefore be very short, preferably only 1 or 2 sentences.

In the initial approach of a candidate, it is key not to tell too much. Telling too much in the invite, is the most commonly made mistake. It’s better to share nothing, than explaining something only half and poorly. And we know from experience that you really do need 1 hour of the candidate’s time, to explain it well. We strongly advice to wait talking to anyone about this opportunity until you’ve gone through the complete training. Until meeting 5.

In the next module you’ll find many different examples of inviting. Below we’ll share a few.

Are you a Trainer or a Talent?

Your invitation and recruitment approach will probably vary, based on what kind of organization you want to build, and on your phase in life or how you are viewed.

Difference between Talents and Trainers

Trainers:

  • Extensive working experience in leading roles (entrepreneurial, corporate, healthcare, philanthropic).

  • Typically seniors (50+) who like to share their experience

Talents:

  • Open minded for new things and approaches

  • Experience and education can vary

  • Character, integrity and attitude is what counts

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, like to start something for themselves.

Do you view yourself as a Talent or Trainer? Below you’ll find example approaches for each category.

Are you a Talent?

Inviting Talents

I am doing something new that’s a lot of fun! I am setting up my own business in my spare time, without an investment. I am doing this because……(describe personal motivation).

I am constantly coached by a team of very experienced professionals, no cure, no pay.

It’s a business that works best as a team. Working for yourself, but not by yourself.

I am looking for 2 partners, and I was thinking of you because…..

Maybe it is something for you, maybe not. But I believe it really would interest you as well.

You want to know more about it?

Ik ben met iets heel leuks bezig. Ik ben iets aan ‘t opzetten in m’n vrije tijd, zonder investering. Ik doe dit omdat ….. (persoonlijke motivatie beschrijven).

Inviting Trainers

I am doing something new that’s a lot of fun! I am setting up my own business in my spare time, without an investment. I am doing this because…….

I am constantly coached by a team of very experienced professionals like you, no cure, no pay.

It’s based on a concept already proven in other parts of the world. It is now being introduced to Europe. The organization is still looking for Trainers.

For you, with your background and experience, this also could be very interesting. In a few years time this can generate a serious passive income. Would you like to meet someone doing this already for a while?

Are you a Trainer?

Inviting Talents

Have you ever thought of setting up your own business in your spare time?

We are with a group of experienced (senior) professionals helping people with less experience, but with an entrepreneurial, open mind, to start their own business.

To either generate a side income, or a business that will generate a primary income over time.

No investment is needed and we have various business types to choose from, ready to go.

Inviting Trainers

Example:

I am doing something very interesting and fun. With a group of fellow professionals I am scouting, training and guiding talents to set up a business in their spare time. If they become successful I also share in their success. In a few years time this can generate a serious passive income.

It’s based on a concept already proven in other parts of the world. We are rolling it out in Europe.

For you, with your background and experience, this also could be very interesting. Are you interested generating an income with sharing your experience?

C. Making an appointment

If they are interested you make an appointment for:

Meeting 1 to share all details of the opportunity with someone else (a Trainer) present (or by yourself). This depends on where you are in your training and what you feel comfortable with.

In case they really insist in having more information before meeting you can share the website (TalentTrainer.org) with them with the agreement you will call them the next day to plan the meeting if interested. Then actively follow that up with a call the next day (“have you reviewed the website?”)

1. Meeting 1 – Explaining the opportunity.

In this meeting we’ll present the strengths of the product, company, business model and type of income it generates. At first this will be done for you, so you can watch and learn, until you are ready to take over.

Typically the first five times “meetings 1” will be held together with someone with experience (a Trainer). After that, you’ll be experienced enough to do it yourself.

Select candidates from your list that you want to hold meeting 1 with together with a Trainer, and then plan with which candidates you want to do meeting 1 by yourself.

If you and the candidate seem to be a match, please invite them for meeting 2.

Meeting 1 protocol, scripts and follow up emails you’ll find here (version 2.0): choose between Dutch and English (will follow).

(Version 1.0 can still be found here until end of November 2025: choose between English or Dutch. )

2. Meeting 2 – How to build a repetitive income?

Meeting will typically be held with a partner/Trainer present.

In meeting 2 we’ll explain:

  • What types/size of businesses candidates can build, and how the building is done.

  • How candidates can build an income source, that generates a more passive income over time.

Meeting 2 protocol (2.0), scripts and follow up emails you’ll find here: choose between English 2.0 and dutch 2.0(will follow).

(Version 1.0 will still be online till end of November 2025: Choose between English or Dutch. – versions TalentTrainer 1.0)

3. Meeting 3 – Are we a match?

In meeting 3 any questions should be answered, and then the candidate should have enough information to determine if they want to enter this business, and if so, why they want to start. We should know by now if they fit in the team and if we want to work with them. If it’s a mutual match:

  • Discuss the motivation. Why are they entering this business? What do they want to achieve? How can this opportunity contribute to their live.

  • Make the commitments from both sides clear. Explain that it takes time, effort and collaboration from each other, to reach the mutual goals.

Meeting 2 protocol, scripts and follow up emails you’ll find here: choose between English or Dutch.

4. Meeting 4 – Business planning

In this meeting we will recap why the candidate is starting this business, and agree on the mutual commitment.

Goals and time-schedules will be defined. Certain hours in the week will be blocked for the first 8 weeks to start building their organization.

We’ll start discussing the list of warm contacts and specifically the top 20, approaching and inviting the selected candidates. What we won’t complete in meeting 4, will be done in meeting 5.
Meeting 4 slides and follow up emails are here: choose between English or Dutch.

Remember: everything will initially be done with the help of one or more Trainers. You’ll get all the support you need.

Good luck with this fun and challenging journey!
